Parachute flies have not been “invented” by the world famous Dutch fly tyer and angler but Hans van Klinken is the one who placed them at the top of the list. They are a must in rough water and calm stretches as well. The white wings are a sort of “floater” signalling the position of the fly in the water (in case of bright water stretches, black wings are a good option). The parachute style offers a plus for soft and delicate casts where shy and educated fish is present.
